Arsenal
Arsenal Football Club was formed 1886 by a group of employees from the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich, the team was first known as The Dial then Royal Arsenal. In 1891 they turned professional and changed the name to Woolwich Arsenal, they became Arsenal in 1914.
Arsenal's first home was Manor Ground which is where they stayed until 1913, other than a 3 year spell at Invicta Ground between 1890 and 1893. Arsenal moved to Arsenal Stadium in 1913, it became better known as Highbury, they stayed here until tightening regulations necessitated a new stadium, however planning restrictions meant that the new stadium would have to be built nearby at Ashburton Grove, in 2006 Arsenal moved to Emirates Stadium.
